"Insomnia Radio Feature"

ow do we pick tracks to play on the Network? I always listen to submitted tracks (and we get a lot). If something catches my ear early on then it’s in with a chance. Near the start of today’s Dose, Like This, I heard a Glockenspiel, and was immediately interested. So, if you want your music played here, playing tuned percussion is one way. - Insomnia Radio

"WTGR Feature"

When day after day your inbox is filled with bands desperate for attention it’s hard to say what exactly it is that makes you read one over the other. Sometimes it’s pure chance.
Australian sextet The Night though deserve the break, as their debut single, released earlier this month, is a delight. A chiming, jittery, swooping mini epic that is reminiscent of both M83 and Arcade Fire, it pushes and pulls before settling into a neat alt-rock groove.
Their debut, self-produced record is on the way soon and from what we’ve heard it’s going to be a treat. - When The Gramophone Rings

"Tasty Ears Feature"

Sydney's the night prepare to release their debut album 'i am, and say.' later this year or early next. Listen to "Like This" the first release off of the forthcoming album below now. Keep your ears peeled for more from rising act the night soon... we know we will. - Tasty Ears

"The Sound of Confusion Review"

The first incarnation of Sydney-based band The Night was a solo project called The Night Is Here which first released an EP back in 2008 with the aid of some guest musicians. Well, it looks as though some of those guests and maybe one or two other musicians hung around until, in 2011, the numbers had grown and the band name had shrunk. Now operating as a sextet the clan have released a new three track EP independently, and although the name is unlikely to get any shorter and the number of members likely to remain the same, you wouldn't bet against their fanbase skyrocketing if they keep up this kind of form. Plenty of groups have more musicians than the conventional four-piece rock/pop band, but listening to some of them you wonder what they're all doing. Not with The Night. This is a trio of big songs with plenty of instrumentation, none of it superfluous to requirement and we're not talking bloated stadium pomp either. - The Sound of Confusion

"Here Comes the Flood feature"

Sydney indie melodic rock band The Night have three candidates for singles from the album the are currently working on: Medicate Me (powerpop with acoustic guitar and strings), Put Me Out (a piano ballad evolging into a midtempo rock song), and Like This (Split Enz inspired dreamy pop - free download). - Here Comes the Flood
