3rd PLACE WINNER AT THE 2016 International Blues Challenge FINALS, The Norman Jackson Band is a high energy, truly soulful, and exciting musical act. Norman Jackson was born in Canton Ohio and grew up in Detroit and Chicago singing alongside Ben E King, Sam Cooke, P Funk, and many of the fathers of Soul & Blues music. It's not often that you find a genuine voice like Norman's. He is an absolute virtuoso as a guitarist. At one moment he'll sear you with a blazing solo and the next he'll soothe you with the smoothest of licks.
Rick Shortt grew up watching Norman perform. He gained fame by fronting the engulfing rock band, Hotbox as they traveled and released three records. Rick approaches the saxophone in a way that you won't find anywhere else with aggression and fire. He is the energy of the band as you never know what he'll do next.
