The Norton´s Project

This project was born as an answer to an urge of communicate, express, share, create, set free emotions and words, through the magic and intensity of the music. The first songs came in the Summer of 2008. Spontaneous words and melodies, celebrated through the piano and the guitar. On the Spring of 2009, some of these songs were recorded in a Demo. This Demo was shown to the piano player and composer António Neves da Silva. The singer António Norton and António Neves da Silva created a group and through their growing cumplicity, knowledge, spontaneity and intuition the songs started to grow more and more. Afterwards Miguel Menezes, the double bass player, Pedro Guerne, the drummer, João Roque, the guitar player, Ana Garcês, the cello player and Ricardo Branco, the Sax player gave another life to the songs, created initially through the piano and the voice.
