Bio

The Notebook came together as a band in 2008 after starting life as a recording project. The Notebook's dark and unique sound was soon recognised and they consolidated themselves as a prime live act, and top support slots to likes of Florence and the machine, Patrick Wolf, The Doves, Grammatics, The Coral and These New Puritans soon followed.

Notebook have continued to impress new audience's with various appearances at festivals in 09/10 . Highlights of these were Kendal Calling (2010) Rock against racism (09) and Queens Gardens were the band played to an audience of over 30,000 people.

2010 has seen The Notebook signed to Coal Shed Records. The band have spent the last 6 months of 2010 recording their much anticipated debut EP's scheduled for release in April 2011. This will be followed by a number of selected performances around the UK and Europe to celebrate its release.

THE SOUND

Often described as dark melodic pop, The Notebook's Unique sound has often been described as a mix of My Bloody Valentine guitars, Kinks Rawness, Americana melody and the Go!Team esq samples which the band use in their live performances. This mixture has given The Notebook a sound that is original and appealing to a wide audience.
