Theo Cas breaks the mold for what a band can be. While being steeped in soul jazz and funk traditions and known for high energy rhythms and downtempo textures, the music and lyrics in general are based on ideas concerning humanity and untapped human possibility. The name Theo Cas comes from the somewhat obscure yet legendary modern thinker and musician Thelonious Castaneda. Theo Cas is at once a source for soulful and inspiring music as well as a source for hope in the world, and also an insight for fans and you the reader: know that you can overcome your obstacles, that we are all more and stronger than we are lead to believe. Theo Cas is part band, part think-tank and part celebration of hope for the world!
Theo Cas was formed in 2009 by Brady Young. The band has been performing and recording consistently since then playing in Nashvile Tn. and the sourrounding region. Theo has played many of the main stages for up and coming bands in Nashville including The Exit In, the Basement and others.
