Bio
The Occult is a band from Monterrey, Nuevo León. The band is characterized by an Alternative Rock , Garage , Stoner and Grunge sound . The band's intention is to create a whole new atmosphere in your mind while listening to us . After we entered Yamaha Band Competition on 2007 we decided to change the band's name to THE OCCULT since there were some line-up changes . Since then we've been creating our own songs but have also being experiencing with covers of bands that influence us . On February 2008 we entered a recording studio where we recorded a two song demo that was going to be part of an EP later on but decided not to make this since our guitar player left the band on June '08 . The band entered on an extended hiatus over Summer '08 and reunited on October to play at a Battle Of The Bands with two new band members , Armando Garza on guitars and Fernando Echeverry on drums .
On December '08 we recorded an EP called "Veil Of Secrecy" at SfinG Records with Cohetica's guitar player Pikis , the EP contains 3 songs .
