The October Crisis

After their recent Markham Theatre performance for the Bereaved Families of York region charity event, The October Crisis returned to their home town of Newmarket. The band is currently composing pieces for their new album, planned for release by summer 2010. The band has come a long way since first showcasing their music at the Kathedral in the Emergenza International Music festival. Developing their musical style during the competition led to appearances at the Reverb, El Mocambo, and a 6th place position at the Ontario finals at the Opera House. They returned to the Opera House to place first in a Battle of the Bands. Their first place prize was a professional music video shoot. This soon to be released video features “Second Time,” the first single off of their upcoming album, with planned release by the end of February 2010. The October Crisis, while still a relatively new group, shows great promise, and continues to develop their musical style.
