Bio
The interesting instrumentation of this 8 piece group came from being buddies, rather than compositional planning. They left their homes on either side of Canada and met in the middle (Toronto) at a school for jazz and became friends on their desire to play some satisfying music that reflected their own creativity. Their similar writing and love of the coasts gave their sound an immediately overwhelming blend that resembled a really nice day or a comfortable nap with a loved one.
At first, the group just got together to play small events mostly attended by friends but a demand in their sound and a push from a growing audience has thrown them on an airplane to Victoria for the summer months in order to record their current songbook and perform in larger settings.
The band is influenced by each other...probably because there are so many of them... as well as a local Victoria musician named Aidan Knight with whom they collaborate with and elaborate their unique sound.
