Lyrics

Wicked Too Bad

Written By: Mike Crowley

I was so kind to you
Naive love seemed to leave me screwed.
You just passed me through
It was up to you.

There were no rules, it was cool
Positive it's no longer new.

I couldn't go home.
Couldn't stay out, it sucked.
Just driving down dead roads, so I left.
Never said goodbye.
I left, never said goodbye.

Chorus:
It's wicked too bad.

In time things have been fine.
Hope you're not too confined.
Skating hard and scraping my knee.
It doesn't matter much to me.

There were no rules, it was cool
Positive it's no longer new.

Inman square a year later.
Riding bikes to work.
This town is so bone dry.
This town's bone dry.

Chorus

Before It's Done

Written By: Sam Mulligan

Write an autobiography
I promise I'd read it.
Buy you a pet chinchilla,
if I can trust you'll feed it.
Hand over my heart if you pretend to need it.

I'd take a bullet
out of your gun.
When you're feeling distant,
I'll feel like a run.
Just promise that it'll be over before it's done.

Remind me of something I've never known,
Show me something that's never been shown.

I'd try to resist you,
if you could be resisted.
Maybe fall in love with you
if you even existed.

Pu Pu Hot Pot

Written By: Mike Crowley

I left my heart just bleeding on your doorstep,
i think it was a bad idea.
You seem so far away, you own it,
but I want my heart back, please.
Boring days run longer on the weekend,
but I guess that you wouldn't know.
One day I will show you something,
but it's hardly worth it to you.

Chorus
Are you going far away?
Will you think of me?
Hot, hot, hot like a pu pu pot,
the flames will die as I wait for you.

Why do I insist on you
when I know what you've done to me.
These people need a taste,
without the sour cream.
Just think of the things we can do
if we just get out of the way.
Like raising a neighbor's barn
just like we used to do.

Chorus

The cat is dressed like the dog,
they're riding an ancient bike.
I'm on the tram above the square.
You're in the market booth.
Oversleep to compensate for work
is spewing these lucid dreams.
Could the cure live up inside the mountains?
Well you know that I can't be sure.

Chorus

End.

Bones

Written By: Mike Crowley

I don't care about the sunshine
I don't care if it's you
Out here in the darkness I'll never mind
You didn't see

Chorus
A magic little wand is here for me
A magic little wand that I can see
It's always there
It's always there 'till sunrise

I saw you outside at the show
You didn't say hello
Through the crowded market I'll never mind
You didn't see

Chorus

I just pushed these twenty miles
Over Camel's Hump
I was pushed to where I thought that I would die
But you didn't see

Chorus

End.

Mallet

Written By: Mike Crowley

So you sulted the mallet and you couldn't let it go
And you know it's time for us to go
Just let it go cause I could be here for a while
So calm, so calm on the mallet

Chorus
When we're driving to the beach
I can see your face in the mirror
Crosswords on your lap have reached
To the lines on the highway at my feet
It's a long, long way to the mallet

We had good times without it, so we can let it go
And we're here this time and it's so rad, so rad to have a mullet
I forgot my mustache at the show

Chorus

End.

Back from Pearl Street

Written By: Sam Mulligan

When do you think you'll fall in love again?
Just let me know.
Don't say nothing if it's not now, I swear
I'll let you go

Think of me
On your way coming back from Pearl Street
I'll wait here, waiting for you
singing your song as I tie my shoes
Sometimes you're a mystery
I wish you weren't history

Do you remember when we first met?
We were at the bank
You played along with my stupid ploy,
told me that your name was Joy

Think of me
On your way coming back from Winooski
I'll wait here, waiting for you
singing your song till my face turns blue
Sometimes you're a mystery
I wish you weren't history

Sadly it seems
we'll only chill in my dreams

Think of me
On your way
Back from Pearl Street
