"The Old Oak Revival"

A haunting blend of tradition and modern harmonies, The Old Oak Revival display their musical roots in producing both up-beat and pleasingly mellow sounds. Made up of four musicians, well-seasoned in the Tri-Cities music scene, Adam Lawson, Drew Plowman, Jordan Coon and Nathan Coffman are not rookies to performing, whether it is solo or with previous bands.

With songs like Bound for You and Negative Nancy, one cannot keep from tapping to the beat or swaying with the pure, refreshing splash of this new folk rock. Others possess more soothing, heart wrenching sensations such as 26 or 11 and 22 taking us back to the core of all music. Performing around the areas of southwest Virginia and northeast Tennessee, The Old Oak Revival are in a picture perfect setting for showcasing their distinct mixes of banjo, mandolin and of course guitar and bass. The ukulele and kazoo both make appearances as well. Drums however, won't be found, but do expect these guys to add some foot-stomping beats to feed that craving.

Freewheeling delivery is what can be expected of these old oaks; lyrically, musically and through stage presence. Expressing the struggles of growing older, feeling safe at home and being surrounded by the friends held close, The Old Oak Revival are surely grounded at the root with nowhere to grow but up and out.

Bio

Think back to a time when things were simple. The days were short and the music was honest. The Old Oak Revival wouldn't like to take you there, but rather bring that time to you. They sing about things relevant to a 21st century audience while maintaining the feeling of the music they grew up on. They sing about life, hope, despair, love, and heartache. These four songwriters, Adam Lawson, Nathan L. Coffman, Drew Plowman, and Jordan Coon, sing to the open ears of today to bring honesty to the stage. And they want you to know, that no matter what happens in this world, there is always something to sing and dance about. Treat this band like you would life itself... Listen, feel, learn...and above all else... HAVE FUN.
