Biography

What is The One And Only Bill Davis’ sound? It’s a culmination of things. Bill was born and raised in Manitowoc, WI. He was forced into piano for eight years before commuting his sentence to guitar when he was fifteen. Only after graduating with a film degree from Columbia College Chicago, did he discover how large a part music played in his life, and how much larger a part he wanted it to play. Opportunity knocked and Bill moved to Vail, CO, where he bought a PA, learned a couple of hundred songs, and started playing live on a regular basis. During his time in Vail, he briefly moved to Austin, TX, where he concentrated on composing his own melodies and lyrics before returning to Colorado. After another year in Vail, wanderlust took hold and brought Bill through Nashville, TN. Before he knew it, he had a job and a place to live in Nashville. Since then, he has refined his sound and made the most of the opportunities in front of him. His latest release, Once Upon a Time, in Nashville..., was recorded at historic RCA Studio B, mixed at world famous Ocean Way Studios, and pressed to vinyl by his loyal fans. Bill has had many musical influences over the years, but he attributes his timeless sound to his love of The Oldies. Bill is not a fan of using styling products in his hair.

Act

Written By: The One and Only Bill Davis

Life is precious and that is the message in your holy books.
You don't really need to read, just open up your eyes and look.
Just think about all of the friends you've made and all the love you share.
Harboring grudges and seeking revenge won't get you anywhere.
Don't worry about what you haven't got.
Your haves will always beat your have-nots.
You get what you give, so try to stay positive,
And if you do then you'll be positively glad that you did.
And even when you aint got a pot, you'll give thanks for what you've got.

Planning's great, but don't procrastinate or you'll get nothing done.
Make yourself a list of goals and get them finished one by one.
Follow your dreams even if they may seem to be improbable.
Brick walls exist to see if you'll persist or if you're stoppable.
Don't listen to the ones who detract.
Their negativity just distracts.
Doing your best will pave the road to success and once you feel how smooth the ride is you won't settle for less.
Id doesn't matter if you're exact, it just matters that you

Act and accomplish.
Do all the things that you want to do.
Make it happen.
You're the only one who's stopping you.

Don't worry about the when and the how.
Forget about then this is now.
Don't make a wish, make a vow
'Cause wish is only short for anguish.

Dreams are internal
But share them with the world and they can come true.
Hope springs eternal
And faith is what your loved ones have in you.

So, act and accomplish.
Do all the things that you want to do.
Make it happen.
You're the only one who's stopping you.

Don't worry about the when and the how.
Forget about then this is now.
Don't make a wish, make a vow
'Cause wish is only short for anguish.

My experience says laughter is the greatest medicine.
Just a little bit can get you out of any funk you're in.
It's important that we realize it doesn't matter how we're seen through strangers eyes.
All that matters in the end is "family and friends"
