The following is the next installment of Theo Shier's conquering the world one video at a time. This clip shows Theo taking a swing at John Lennon's "Love," and his performance at that Beatle's tribute concert was heralded by The Fairfield Weekly Reader in the following gushing way: "Protean young guitarist, Theo Shier, playing solo, turned Lennon's meditative, heartshaking ballad 'Love' into acoustic, John Mayer-ish funk without losing a bit of the lyrical ardor. This YouTube video is a live performance by 18-year-old singer-songwriter Theo Shier who is an unsigned artist with a stash of hook-filled and introspective originals plus enough onstage charisma to make whoever eventually signs him look like a genius. Although he plays acoustic guitar in this impromtu performance, Theo also is a terrific electric guitarist who will hopefully show off his chops in future videos. - Huffington Post - Entertainment Section

Eighteen year old Theo Shier is Fairfield, Iowa's rising star and has had a very prolific songwriting history (starting at 13 years old), composing well over a hundred songs in the last several years. But in addition to his songwriting prowess (having performed three consecutive years at Lyon, Colorado's The Song School), he has become a natural on stage having performed in dozens of rock concerts, additionally backing visiting touring acts on acoustic and electric guitar. His own concerts play to packed rooms including the 550 seat Sondheim Theater, and his video of his original "This Old House" was featured in The Huffington Post's entertainment page with the headline "Introducing Theo Shier."
With his eye on touring beyond Iowa and national acceptance, Theo wants to expand his music's reach with his band, and is looking forward to the completion of his first studio album in February 2011 and whose production began this past summer.
