Bio
The Other Face is a band fronted by Albert Hernandez. The original line-up (known as theotherface) was Albert, Ed Seoane on guitar and Chris Placeres on drums. This was the line-up from 1996-2001 and was based in Hialeah, FL. Prior to 1996, the band, using another name, had a vocalist named Miguel Andrade with Albert as bass and 2nd vocalist.
Ed left the band and Albert, never finding a suitable replacement, ultimately moved to Orlando, FL in 2004. It would take another three years before Albert re-started the band (now known as theOtherface). In early 2007, he hooked up with drummer Andrew Mullins and started working on new songs. A few months later, guitarist Mike Rodriguez was found and the band took off.
Andrew left the band in February 2008 to pursue his degree. Mike Ferrara joined the band later that year, but was forced to move from Orlando in 2009. The band spent the majority of 2009 without a drummer until Steve Smith, who previously played with Mike in a band called Black Willow Trail, was invited to join the band (now known as The Other Face). Steve recently left the band to finish his education.
As of July 2010, Mike Alosa (bass) and Antoine Rohlehr (drums) of the band Last Minute Stars joined The Other Face. This will allow Albert to focus on the vocals and play acoustic and/or rhythm guitar when needed for live shows. While the band will prioritize recording, there are shows already in the works coming soon.
