"Denmark Husband and Wife Launch New Album"

Well-known in Denmark for their musical talent, husband and wife Del and Andrea Fisher have produced album Unconditional Love as a reflection of their personal experience with relationships. Del said the music helps people with its "healing qualities."

Almost entirely written in Denmark, the songs are beautifully soothing duets, with gentle acoustic guitars and soulful lyrics stirring emotions. The artists' deep country vocals drag flawlessly over the slow-paced music with the pair singing solos, yet uniting every now and then for a chorus. The tracks create a sense of independent solitude yet undeniable love and companionship.

The theme Unconditional Love is not limited to romantic love but extends out to include friends and family - especially the bond between parent and child in 'A Father to His Daughters'. The album's highlights are its last few songs. 'I Love You' begins slow and builds up into repetition of the catch strings of "you know that I know...". 'Am I An Ant' strikes as an exception from the album in the sense that it is more upbeat and carries backing voices and ideas. The song is about consumerism and the trap we are all subject into falling into.

The album is best suited to a mature audience who can appreciate its meaningfulness and slower-paced style. Unconditional Love is available from local Denmark outlets including The Black Duck Cafe, Third Stone Traders and the Sacred Tree. - Albany Advertiser - 8th December 2011

Bio

The friendship and musical roots of husband and wife duo, Del and Andrea Fisher, goes back some thirty years when they first began to play acoustic guitar together. Twenty years later, they reconnected unexpectedly on a train platform coming home from a Fleetwood Mac concert, reigniting not only their friendship but something much deeper.

In 2011 the pair married and left their home town of Melbourne beginning an indefinite road trip around Australia. Arriving in Denmark in February 2011, the duo found the community embraced them and their music with open arms.

As live performers, The Outback Gypsies’ also come together as a four-piece band performing gigs at larger venues, demonstrating their adaptability and versatility to deliver more up-beat rock sounds including their own funky soul originals as well as keeping alive the music of artists including , Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan, Tracey Chapman, Fleetwood Mac and Bob Marley.

In January 2012, Del and Andrea released their debut album UNCONDITIONAL LOVE, which includes nine acoustic tracks of original songs, all touching on various aspects of relationship with one reflecting on the challenge of fitting into a materially driven society (Am I An Ant).
The Outback Gypsies poetic and up-beat folk-style music has entertained audiences at many venues in the Southern region of WA, including The Albany Entertainment Centre, Southern End Restaurant, The Albany Hotel, The Black Duck Café, Denmark Hotel, Willoughby Winery, Vancouver Café, The Earl of Spencer and both Royal Perth and Albany Shows.
