The best kept secret in music
Press
"The band’s emphasis on songwriting and intricate lyrics is a satisfying homage to folk music [while] the jangly guitars and bright melodies are given an edge thanks to a bit of distortion and the wavering tenor of guitarist/vocalist Brian Erickson." - The Aquarian
"The bubbly Ted Leo/Ben Folds power pop hooks and sharp-witted song styles found in these Garden State melody makers are a ray of sunshine to the usual agro-aggressive fare we get each weekend around these parts." - The Trentonian
"Lyrics are earnest yet catchy and the harmonies are pitch-perfect! Face Forward earns a 91/100!" - The Newark Rock Examiner

Bio
Having played together in a multitude of combinations in a variety of bands, Brian Erickson (vocals/guitar), Bill Lambusta (guitar), Frank Lettieri (Vocals/drums), and Scottie Maloney (bass) united under the name the Paper Jets in September 2008. They quickly took their unique brand of indie-rock/power-pop to the stage, playing raucous sets at any and every show available, notably having played the North Star Bar (Philadelphia, Pa), John & Peter's (New Hope, PA), the Saint (Asbury Park, NJ), a residency at McGuinn's Place (Trenton, NJ), and the independent music festival WE Fest (Wilmington, NC). The band then wasted no time in getting their debut 8-track EP out to the public in June 2009. Self-produced by the band and featuring writing from all four members, Face Forward showcases the high energy rock and pop that the Paper Jets have made their bread and butter. Recently, the band added fifth member Kristen Leu to play piano/keys and sing vocals. Currently, the band continues to tour in support of Face Forward as they work on their full length debut, Pictures Like This One.
