The Paper Makers

The Paper Makers

BandRockSinger/Songwriter

The Paper Makers are an energetic folk-rock duo who are influenced by modern and dated artists. Anna and Katie are likened to the White Stripes at first sight, but various instruments such as harmonica and ukelele make appearances at their shows. The songs have a uniquely canadian/indie rock sound.

Biography

Anna and Katie started playing four years ago. We've been playing Toronto venues regularly over the past year, and hope to gain more exposure in the very near future. Musical influences include Hawksley Workman, White Stripes, Feist and Modest Mouse. Soulfully combining folk, rock and blues, with a Canadian spin, we aim to put on a great show every time.

Set List

We play a flexible set that can run anywhere between 30 minutes to an hour. We occasionally throw in a cover, however we don't play more than one cover song per show. We can play a more folk/Canadian set, or a more rocking set, depending on the gig. We have approximately 20 original songs
