Bio
The Paramount is David Rodrigues and Daniel Sutherland. Unlike traditional touring bands, The Paramount is the musical outlet for two musicians intent on keeping the creation of music a prominent fixture in their lives. The two met back in 2005 in Santa Barbara, CA and quickly began focusing on a shared vision of crafting well-written songs. In the summer of 2006 the two began recording their demo. Unexpectedly, in the midst of recording, opportunity called and Daniel moved to northern California.
Fast forward to 2009. The two reconnected with the idea of resurrecting the songwriting that had ended prematurely. With David's continued interest in recording, he purchased a modest Pro Tools system and the two began exchanging ideas by email. In the spring of 2011, Daniel returned to southern California to lay the foundation tracks of The Paramount's debut EP. With continued effort, mounting debt, and several trips back and forth, the EP is taking shape with the expected release to be early 2013.
The upcoming EP showcases the many influences the two share, from sparkling instrumentals to driving emotive rock.
