The Payroll Union are a 3 piece Americana band dealing about the murkiest corners of American history. Formed over a love of Nick Cave, Grandaddy, Richmond Fontaine and Scott Walker, the band conjure a bittersweet mix of southern gothic and alt.country. Gigs at Lovebox Festival in 2010 and further festival dates at Galtres and Off The Tracks in 2011 have cemented their live reputation on a wider stage. Their debut EP was released in April 2011 and their second offering will be released on September 19th 2011.
