Bio
The Peacoats are a musical super group formed in the later half of 2008. The collective is comprised of members of past and present bands from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. They jam and record in a church!
Collectively, The Peacoats have the experience of industry veterans. They are head and shoulders above the rest! The music speaks for itself!
Barrett Ross is a member of the newly formed Foam Lake and was a member of the recently defunked The Blood Lines. The Blood lines went as far as China playing The Beijing Pop festival along sides of Nine Inch Nails, Public Enemy and The New York Dolls. They have also played SXSW and NXNE, opened for The Dears on their 2006 Western Canadian tour and won a Western Canadian Music Award for "Outstanding Rock Recording".
Amber Kraft is a current member of the band Ultimate Power Duo who have done their fair share in the industry. They have performed coast to coast across Canada, have toured England and have played renowned music festivals such as SXSW and NXNE. They have been featured on Much Music's going coastal, have opened for bands such as Danko Jones, Bad Religion and NOmeansno and have played The Warped Tour (and will again this year 2009). They have recently been signed to Calgary's Saved by Radio. Amber trades in her drum sticks for a shot at the keyboards in this collective.
Shelby guitarist Mike Velonas are also original/former members of the band We Were Lovers.
