Feeling a bit camera shy

The Pears are a story of determination and personal triumph. At the end of 2011 and the beginning of 2012 we finished our first self produced CD for sale and promotion. We started lining up gigs for early summer 2012 and then tragedy struck. Lorna Pearman keboards, vocals and main composer suffered a stroke after a trip to California. The stroke left Lorna unable to walk without assistance, almost no use of her right arm and experiencing trouble speaking. At this point the future was very unclear but what was clear is that Lorna had made up her mind that she was going to recover no matter what it would take. This meant putting the Pears basically on hold for the rest of 2012. Lorna worked relentlessly on her phisical therapy and by November only 5 months after her stroke The Pears started rehearsing again. It's now 2013 and we are working on new songs for our next CD and looking for bookings for this year. We were a band interupted but we are back now. Thanks to Bob Becker and Mike Murray our Drummer and Bass Player for sticking with us and having the patience to let Lorna heal. Look for the Pears performing in 2013.
