"Weekly Volcano March 15th, 2006"

The Vells, a side project of Modest Mouse drummer Jeremiah, played Jazzbones along with the Pete Moss Band and Minimum Wage (from Seattle). Vells seemed a little off, like they had new cordless headsets or something. The Pete Moss Band was definitely the favorite of the night. Tons of fans came from across the bridge to see the young band perform for their second time on Jazzbones’ stage since January. The teen-agers from Gig Harbor did a few covers, but they mostly played their own material heavily influenced by classic rock and blues.

Bio

In 2005, high school buddies...Jeff, Jessie, Erick and Dane moved out of the "garage" and on to the South Sound rock scene. The Pete Moss Band was officially born.

With frequent gigs at Jazzbones and Hell's Kitchen in Tacoma as well as numerous appearances at area festivals, concerts, battle of bands and private gigs, they have developed a loyal and growing following. Fans of the Pete Moss Band love the great musicianship, high energy and unique style these guys put out.

The band moves easily from metal to blues to classic rock. It has compiled an impressive list of original tunes which are played along with classic covers at every venue. If you like to rock you'll love The Pete Moss Band!
