The Phantom Runners

 Brighton, England, GBR
BandPopAlternative

From a first gig supporting Reverend & The Makers The Phantom Runners star has been on the rise. Their self produced debut receiving serious backing on Radio 1 and BBC Introducing. Currently darlings of the Brighton scene and all over the blogosphere, a summer tour is lined up and 2012 looks big.

Biography

Formed in December 2010 around a shared love of bands such as The Cure, The Stone Roses & The Smiths, The Phantom Runners stood out in a town where alcopops and badly remixed pop songs reign supreme.

From a first supporting Reverend & The Makers to 300 people the bands rise has been rapid. Both tracks off their debut e.p were received as tracks of the week on BBC Introducing and played on BBC Radio 1. Throughout 2011 The Phantom Runners travelled up and down the country keen to play to new crowds in different cities. Capacity shows in Camden, Brighton, Liverpool, Manchester and Leeds enhanced the bands live reputation and their love of a good time. Support slots for up and coming acts such as Summer Camp and All The Young have ensured that The Phantom Runners are on the right track to succeed on their own headline tour in May 2012.
