Bio
Before someone goes to sleep they have many thoughts about what they did that day, what they plan to do the next day, they think about their hopes and dreams, their fears of failure and many "What If" Situations The Philosophies were spawned by the idea that these psychedelic thoughts could be interpreted through music. After struggeling to obtain their instruments, by saving their pennies Mike and Noe agreed to carry out this idea. The Philosophies started as a two piece jam band in the city of La Puente a small suburb in LA County, Consisting of guitarist(Noe Sarmiento) and friend and drummer(Micheal Quiroz). Eventually the band grew tired of not having any low end so the decision to hire (Moises Sarmiento)-on bass was made he picked up fast and is easily one of the best bass player in the West Covina/La Puente area. After Moises joined the band The Philosophies found themselves playing a mix of dance funk and punk music which was totally different from the oversaturated hardcore scene
that began to plauge the area since 2001, after gaining a small following in the underground Post-punk/dance/club scene by playing back yard house parties the philosophies began to take music up as a serious career, a short list of venues the band has played include, The Wire, The Chain Reaction, Hogue Barmicheals, Di Piazza's, The Cocky Bull, Musicians Performace Studios, The La County Fair main stage and much more. Now The Philosopohies are hungry for bigger, better, and louder shows, they will even play at your wedding if ya ask them nicely, their main aim to make people dance.
and they are doing everything in their power to make that happen, the journey has only begun.
