Sonically, Toronto outfit The Pink Flowers lie somewhere in the intersection between Yo La tengo, The Jesus And Mary Chain, and early MGMT. Dodgy name aside, their music speaks for itself: 'Kids' is the standout track, clocking in at two-and-a-half minutes of alt-pop magic. - NME Magazine

Bio
The Pink Flowers is the psychedelicgarage
duo of Ryan Faist and Nolan Bennett from Toronto,Canada.
Hazy waves of guitar drifts around the room as The Pink Flowers take the audience on
journey of fuzzy reverb. They take the term ‘garage band’ literally, having recorded the share
of their material in one. Using an 8 track mind, the sound is not modern, but not old.
Newly out of the blocks The Pink Flowers only have a few songs, packaged as the 3 song EP
– Joy , as well as two mixtapes, floating around the internet under a different name. Try putting
this mixtape into a loop and dive inside the laidback spread of ideas which can be caught and
investigated further on repeated play.
Having this first EP released independently on their own DUMB ONES Music , and already
receiving nods from the likes of NME and Converse, it seems that The Pink Flowers are
brewing a buzz. Of most importance, the music they are producing holds the attention of
alternative and pop lovers alike, and demands a replay.
