Bio
The Pixelles are husband and wife duo Al and Jill Sim. Al met Jillian at a bar in New York City and it was love at first sight. They were married less than a year later, and spent their early years together writing, moving around the country, and raising their two children. Al's award-winning short fiction has appeared in 19 different literary journals, and Jill is a freelance journalist who was featured in an award-winning segment on ABC News 20/20.
Jill is trained as an actress, attended the High School for the Performing Arts, and sang jazz standards in NYC nightclubs. She comes from a family with a long and rich musical heritage. Music has always been a force in her life, and she's been singing since she was small.
Al has been in and out of bands since he was 11, and has been writing songs since he was 15. He was the producer, engineer, and primary instrumentalist on "Dwell", the debut CD from Charlottesville alt-country band, The Pones (see http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/pones).
