The Plastic Revolution plays electronic-centered pop-punk. Bassist Tommy Kelly and singer/guitarist Justin Carey are 2008 graduates of San Diego State. Also in the band are Jake Skolnick (vocals, electronics, guitar) and Carlos Ortiz, Jr. (drums). Their debut album Planning for Chaos was produced by Roland Lee Ware II (Rdub Recordings) and Jeff Forest (blink 182, Avenged Sevenfold, Atreyu, Incubus, As I Lay Dying) at Doubletime Studios. The album includes the popular college-themed “Aztec Anthem,” a staple at countless local frat parties.
Jake Skolnick released an independent solo acoustic album in 2005, A Night at 54th Street, with a press run of around 2000 copies. - San Diego Reader
