The Poltergeist

Welcome to the world of the Poltergeist. I’m an up & coming independent music artist and producer who began writing lyrics when I was 12 yrs. old. I was first inspired by my brother who told me that I should start writing lyrics. Not being a very talkative kid, I would go in my bedroom alone with my small tape cassette player and listen to music and write lyrics. Some days I would hang out with my friends and they'd work on their lyrics and delivery, which inspired me. Whenever I listened to music, I would pay close attention to the beat, which helped me to understand the specific elements that made a beat unique as well as what ultimately attracted the listener. Initially, I didn't plan on composing beats, but one day, I was introduced to the free version of Fruity Loops, which was a stepping stone to become more advanced. Later, while in high school, I would record songs and let my friends hear it and they'd give positive feedback, which also gave me inspiration to keep writing. Even though I would be at all the ciphers and rap battles, I would never get in the circle and test my skills. Instead, I would listen and get all the inspiration I could get. As I got older, I continued to stay focused on music despite growing up in the rough streets of South Central Los Angeles. Instead of choosing a life that leads many young African-Americans to life in prison or death, I was fortunate enough to have the help of some key people in my life that had a greater influence on me that would keep me on a positive path toward success.

Today, I am quickly on my way to becoming a self-made professional music producer and highly sought-after music artist. I have interests outside of music such as: scriptwriting, acting, movie directing, and real estate investments, among other things. My drive is highly self-motivated, yet my music influences are Dr. Dre, Chamillionaire, Method Man, Ice Cube, Timbaland, Neptunes, E-40, Eminem. My music is familiar, yet different than many artists because I’m blend valuable messages along with familiar messages of being on the grind, making millions, being in the clubs partying, etc. On the other hand, I try my best not to speak about things that I haven’t experienced in life; hence the name of the album – We ‘Bout to Get This Money (I haven’t made the money, and don’t have the money, so I try not to talk about having money). I believe in 500% that my music is thoughtful and worth listening to, so DO NOT SLEEP ON ME…..My story is that The Poltergeist is comin’, I ready to perform internationally, and I will knock on every door there is until I break down all barriers!!
