The PowerCats are an upbeat rockin band based in the South Florida Area. Their musical styles range from classic rock hits by the likes of U2, The Police, The Beatles, Rolling Stones, ZZ Top, Stevie Ray Vaughn and Eric Clapton, to the classic hits from the 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s. They throw a few Country toe-tappers into the mix just for the fun of it!
They have enough material to entertain audiences of all ages. If you aren't having a blast at a PowerCats show, you don't know how to!!
As the house band at Elwoods Dixie BBQ in Delray Beach, The PowerCats built a strong following which is a reflection of their commitment to entertain. The band has done gigs in Florida from coast to coast, making friends and gaining fans with every show!
Geoff Livingston - bass & vocals, John Smotherman - guitar & vocals and Chris Peet - drums & vocals have shared the same bill with Foghat, Grand Funk Railroad, The Outfield, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Little Richard, Alan Jackson, Joe Cocker and .38 Special.
The members of The PowerCats have performed in many local nightclubs, private functions, Clematis By Night, and SunFest. Each performance is catered to the audience for which they are performing, and great fun is guaranteed for all.
