It was a shared passion for dirty blues music that inspired one of Brisbane's most promising new bands The Power Walkers, consisting of duelling frontmen Mikel Johnson and Chris Sheehy, twins Eddie and Perry Walker on bass and lead guitar respectively, and in-demand session drummer Jerome Power. Since forming in 2010 the band have been bringing their fresh approach to bluesy pop to anywhere in South East Queensland with a stage, a bar and a crowd ready for a killer rock and roll set.
With influences coming from Jason Mraz, John Mayer, Steely Dan, SRV and Sublime, there's no doubt the band's anticipated debut EP - due out in the coming months - will have The Power Walkers tearing up stages all over the country.
