Bio

The Presidential Targets were formed in the mid-eighties as a rockabilly/cow-punk band with undertones similar to The Beatles. Over the decades, The Targets have acquired a cult following of fans who know that no Presidential Targets show is ever the same. Their fan base is as diverse and versatile as their music, which is rumored to have even found a home in the Clinton Library.

When it comes to their music and performances, The Presidential Targets abide by one rule, and one rule only: “If we’re not having fun, we’re not going to do it!” And, undeniably, fun embodies the very essence of who they are. Audiences have enjoyed their flamboyant stage antics (you never know when the Pope will make an appearance) and surprise guests such as John Popper (jamming on the plastic horn) at clubs, festivals, and universities across the northeast, including CBGB, The Spiral, Kenny's, Toad’s Place, The Grotto, SNETFest, Norwalk OysterFest, New Haven Molson Fest, UMass, and UConn Spring Weekends.

In addition to their slob rock charm and energetic stage presence, the lyrical stylings of The Presidential Targets provides a landmine of social and political commentary dipped in a vat of tongue-in-cheek sarcasm, garnished with a hint of innuendo not for the faint of heart (delivered with a smile). With amazing music, witty songs, and their approachable style, this unforgettable band is not to be missed.
