Bio

The band is a melting pot of musical flavors. There is something excitingly egalitarian and eclectic about The Producers. Maybe, because John Seda, Uncle E, Andre Cheine, and K. Jack Ross are each composers and songwriters in their own right; or maybe, because the band is a melting pot of cultural and musical tastes--almost a microcosm of American society--there is an honest appreciation for all genres of music. An example: Raised in New York, California, and Puerta Rico, guitarist John Seda's music carries the musical memories of his childhood homes. The same can be said for frontman K. Jack Ross. In a song titled "Trying" he sings: "Here's a few words from a man out of Knoxville, Tennessee/My Dad was a Jew from Boston who married a Baptist Hillbilly." If you add these experiences to the gospel, R & B, rock, and urban influences of masterful bassist Uncle E, a native of Tampa, Florida and then layer it a bit more with the classical training of keyboard player Andre Cheine, a gypsy of sorts raised in the mountains of Russia it creates a wonderful rock 'n;' roll stew. Then, to add a little more flavor to the recipe, mix in the Latin, Cuban, and jazz influences of drummer Jose Santana, Jr., and the stew has an aromatic steam that tantalizingly fills the room.
