Bio
With influences ranging from Biggie Smalls, to Jay-Z and from Ludacris to T.I., The Professor lives for pulse pounding beats and sharp hooks. With a strong, haunting voice that carries his songs, and an enticing street charisma he’s definitely a rising star. Energetic and spontaneous onstage and off, The Professor brings his bold New York swagger with him wherever he goes. It’s paid off, as he’s won over audiences both live and through his multiple mixtapes.
The Professor’s current mixtapes, “Who Want A Problem Pt. 3 and “Belly Of The South Pt. 4” have sold over 100,000 copies since their releases in October and November of 2006 respectively. “How They Done That” a passionate tale of triumph through adversity featured on Money on My Mind a mixtape hosted by Lil Wayne (CashMoney Records) and DJ L (OpenLock Entertainment/Violator Management) garnered The Professor the winning spot in Wane Enterprises, Streetz Is Watching Showcase.
Combining NYC toughness with a hint of southern influence, The Professor shows a rare ability to transcend costal lines and appeal to all facets of hip-hop. “This form of versatility is a great breath of fresh air to the hip-hop community,” says Rikers writer for 4Knews.
As life on the road continues this year, with a host of college tours and club dates across the east coast, (including a another performance at the Come Claim The Mic Showcase for Hustle Up DVD), The Professor is showing no signs of letting up. With a new mixtape scheduled to drop in November and an even larger tour in preparation for next year, it would appear that The Professor is on a collision course with success.
