The Professors of Soul is one the best Classic 60's and 70's Soul groups on the East Coast.


Tameka Simmons is a rising, young, beautiful, vocal star. Originally from Columbia, SC and currently residing in Greenville, SC, Tameka has been causing quite a stir in making a name for herself and her powerful, soulful voice. Tameka started singing in church as a child and has just started
singing popular music in the last 2 years. She joined The Professors of Soul full time 1 year ago and has not looked back, performing 3 to 7 days a week. She is now in top form with a song list reaching 200 classic Soul, R&B, Funk, Jazz, and Disco songs, and backed up by The Professors of Soul, comprised of the top musicians in the Upstate, SC area.
