Biography

The Profile are a pop rock foursome from Drogheda, Ireland. The band is made up of brothers Sean and Brian Mathews together with Bob Smith on bass and drummer Alan Mullen.

Together they take influence from Talking Heads, REM, Thin Lizzy, U2, Biffy Clyro and Elbow. And after starting off with Sean's material, the guys got their own mojo working on their own songs. After a while together the band began to see themselves as a voice in the gap. Not exclusively urban or rural folk they are living and writing around life in a regional Irish town.

2011 saw the release of "the rooskey session", a 2 track free download available on Sonicbids and from the bands social sites. This was followed up with gigs around Ireland.

The Profile jump between the covers circuit and original showcases to keep busy. Currently the band have a single "so good to be home" set for release in December 2012 and are starting work on their new EP early in 2013.
