Bio
The Progeny is a Canadian indie pop-rock band based in Montreal, Quebec. The group consists of vocalist Krystale Tremblay, keyboardist and bass player Siavash Sadrazodi, and drummer James Lynn.
The band began in 2010 when Siavash introduced to James and François a song album he had composed recently in collaboration with two talented lyricists, Candice Lemieux and Larry Kline. A few months later Krystale joined the group and together they recorded their first two demo songs.
Although both lyrics and music of the album - entitled "Wanderers of the Outer Darkness" - are based on or influenced by contemporary vampire mythology, especially Charlaine Harris's best-selling "The Southern Vampire Mysteries" and HBO's hit series "True Blood", they show a great deal of originality in style and expression.
The music explores colors, sounds and textures from across the pop and rock spectrum, blending and contrasting throughout the album to build tension with the evocative lyrics and create dramatic shifts in atmosphere.
United by a common theme, the album’s nine songs inhabit a world of passionate characters and intense emotions. These are fun, sexy, scary and romantic little stories that will intrigue vampire-lovers and music-lovers everywhere.
