Shortly after seeing a Van Halen concert in 2004 David Desanto met Ben Goldsberry. David playing Bass and Ben playing Guitar they needed a drummer, David called up his friend Greg Taylor who had no experince in drumming (turns out he was a natural). They thought they could be like ZZ Top but then said screw it and invited a friend of David's in the band (Nick). After they decided that Nick wouldn't work, they made the necessary changes, inviting Wyatt Barriger to take the spot of Lead Singer, who exceeded the standards. After they got all members in the band that they needed, and in the correct places, they decided upon a name, sence they played classic rock in a new rock world they decided to call them selves The Prophets of Rock 'N' Roll or The Prophets for short.
