In May 2015 the band decamped to record their
debut album at the little known Pentagon Studios on the outskirts of Lisbon in
Portugal. The album was recorded over 6 intense days by producer/engineer
Ferando Matise and reflects the stark urban landscape surrounding the studio.
Mixed later that year at Holy Mountain Studios in Hackney the new material
explores themes of clandestine populations, conflicts of territory, the dichotomy
of war and a beguiled popular culture. This is all set to a backdrop of
distorted guitars, wailing vocals and propulsive drums. Sprawling over 48 minutes and containing 7
songs, the album, Gulf is a true
exploration of what rock and roll can be.

Formed in London, Pulmonic are a classic three
piece made up of 3 men (Niall, Filipe and Graham) from 3 counties (Ireland,
Portugal and Australia). Over the past 3
years they have been refining their sound into something that is original,
polished but raw. With a style that sits between musical genres Pulmonic are a
hard band to pigeonhole. Covering many touchstones of rocks recent past they
are sometimes dark, sometimes heavy while always evolving.
