The Quitters

The Quitters

BandRock

The Quitters are a heavy punk rock band with rhythmically intense and aggressive songs. Every show is packed with explosive energy guaranteeing a memorable live experience. While only a three piece band, The Quitters crank it; ear plugs strongly suggested.

Biography

The Quitters are a punk rock trio from Las Vegas, Nevada. They are heavily influenced by west coast punk and Swedish hardcore. They began playing shows to friends while still in high school and played out for the first time in July 2004. Since then they have played nearly 200 shows, and recently completed their first tour by playing at least one show in every western state, except Utah (where punk is outlawed). Their home stage is the legendary Double Down Saloon, where 1 am is the prime slot and they go on at 3. After five years as a band, The Quitters are about to take it to the next level. Be prepared!!

Lyrics

Code Red

Written By: The Quitters

Right from the start you feel it in your gut
This isn't like anything you've seen before
React according to the code written in your blood
Instinct alone will save you know

Keep your head
Code Red!
All that you know forget

Keep your head
Code Red!
Activate your Code Red

Suddenly all of your priorities have changed
It's pretty clear what matters now
All previous establishments and contracts are broken now
All relationships are null and void

Keep your head
Code Red!
All that you know forget

Keep your head
Code Red!
Activate your Code Red

So enter the age of truth and necessity
All of our efforts have been for naught

Keep your head
Code Red!
All that you know forget

Keep your head
Code Red!
Activate your Code Red

Overkill

Written By: The Quitters

One step forward
Put some distance between yourself and the mob
It's hard to tell the difference you make as part of the plot
The confusion's between living the same versus living as one
There's a difference between uniform and unison

Sink your teeth in your way
Same routine day to day
Sink your teeth in your drill
Looks to me like overkill

One look backwards
Try to take in the scene, to see what it takes
To change direction, a new destination that will not resemble this place
The confusion's between living the same versus living as one
There's a difference between uniform and unison

I want to find truth, fight for just cause, live with reason, reason to die reason to kill
You want to find love, shop for nice clothes, go make your money, money to buy money to bill so...

Sink your teeth in your way
Same routine day to day
Sink your teeth in your drill
Looks to me like overkill

Talk Nation

Written By: The Quitters

We'll solve your problem
We'll make you over
All the while we'll be bending you over
Your tragic story
Your brutal heartache
Don't cry till we come back from the break

Our society is depressing
Feeding off tragedy to get ratings
Kick em down to the ground to pick them up
We're a talk nation, and proud of it

Your child's deformed, can we exploit her?
Ask her questions and make her feel like shit!
Anorexic teenager, suicidal tendencies, here's a shopping spree to cure your disease.

Our society is depressing
No one really cares it's all fading
Kick em down to the ground don't pick them up
We're a talk nation, but I've had enough

Nothing's ever gonna come around and make things better
As long as Maury says he cares
This country needs to look at brand new angles
But then money controls all reason, there's no reason

Our society is depressing
Feeding off tragedy to get ratings
Kick em down to the ground don't pick them up
Our society is depressing
No one really cares it's all fading
Kick em down to the ground to pick them up
We're a talk nation, but I've had enough!
