Bio

The Trio is all about soul and real musical talent. Listen to this killer line-up:

Vocalist Rachael Crawford is a girl from a Mississippi River town of 600, with huge credits and aspirations. At the mere age of 20, she has already claimed such titles as the 2005 Quad City Idol, 2nd ranked jazz vocalist in the state of Illinois according to IHSA's 2004 IMEA Honors Jazz Choir rankings, and lead vocalist of area cover bands, such as the Usual Suspects and Phat Boi & the Gang. Rachael is in her third year of college, working towards her music degree with an emphasis in vocal performance. In the near future she plans to move to Chicago to attend Columbia College where she has hopes and aspirations of graduating, then touring the United States as a vocalist and drummer/pianist. This girl's been playing the drums, guitar, and piano since before she ever knew could sing.

Guitarist John Hartman (graduate of Berkley College of Music in Bostoin, MA) provides trio with non-stop imporvisational solos the compliment the group in a flattering manner. He currently owns and operates John Hartman Music Services in Freeport, IL where he offers services such as instrument repair, piano/guitar/drum/horn/string lessons, and a wide variety of music and instruments for sale. This fella has played with the best of the best. You name it, he can play it. Every artist and band from Eric Clapton to Carlos Santana to Steely Dan. This man is the bomb diggity and also the lead guitarist for are favorite, the Usual Suspects. People all across the Midwest will testify that this man is one of the best at what he does. Oh yes, he is one dedicated family man, too.

Last but CERTAINLY not least is the one and only Jon VanGilder. This man is silent but deadly. He plays a subtle slide that will send you in a trance. Jon is the proud parent of 20 children (a little exaggeration), but he too is a family man. Jon teaches guitar and piano lessons at Hartman's Music Services and in his free time he enjoys cruising around downtown in his flashy Porsche. He's a maniac. However, on Sundays you will find this man in a special place: the pulpit. Yessiree, he's a preacha. So you know our sets are appropriate for all ages. ;)

So why aren't we famous yet? Simple: We're not aiming for fame or fortune. This is a side project to keep us occupied in our freetime. The only thing we want are some eager audiences willing to lend us their ears for just one night. That's all it takes for us. Just one night.
