The Raef will release their debut album in December 2011.
The Raef started of in early 2008 as a project by four members of four different bands. The idea behind the gathering was simple, to create simple and beautiful songs. The format for the sound being pure and clean existing just out of an acoustic guitar, a bass, a drumkit and an honest voice.
In 2009 the Raef recorded some of their songs in a three day session in theater Rasa. The recordings lead up to some live performances including opening up for Racoon.
The Raef decided then to set forth and started writing material for a full length album.
In 2010 the Raef decided to enrich the sound of the band with a fifth member. The addition of piano, Rhodes and Hammond made the picture perfect. In this new setup twenty songs were finished. In the summer of 2011 the band started recording the album. Its expected date of completion is October 2011.
By means of promotion three songs were completed in July 2011, being Let your hair down, Little Bit and Lady.
The band will release their much expected debut album in December 2011 with a live show in theater Rasa.
