Lyrics

Tuff Love

Written By: Rebeca (Rafiki)

Verse 1:
Power, got us on hold
Control, got us on hold
Power and control got us on hold
So tired of playin' tug 'o' war
So tired of playin' tug 'o' war

Chorus:
You called it tough love, tough love, tough love
I want some real love
I want some real love
I've had enough of this war

Verse 2:
The resolution is no illusion
Lets obliterate all confusion
The resolution is no illusion
Lets obliterate all confusion

Chorus

Its the inauguration of the hateration
They got you scared and they say its not fair
Can't bare conflicted with despair
But don't lose your tracks cuz you were raised on the facts

Chorus

Enough, is enough, is enough, is enough
Enough, is enough, is enough, is enough

Interlude:
You see I don't think you could hear me right now,
But its about time we start showing that real kind of love
I'm talkin about you ain't got to travel far to get to
Its right here next to you

You just want me alone so I don't say no
You just want me alone so I don't say no

It Seems

Written By: Rebeca (Rafiki)

It seems that you wanna see me cry
That you wanna see me lose all control
That you wanna see me on the floor
And I...I just don't understand
Why, why, why all you wanna do is make me cry
Oh baby, baby, baby
Why, why, why all you wanna do is make me cry
Oh baby, baby, baby
Why, why, why, and don't you dare lie

Chorus:
Somehow oh there must be some mistake
Cuz all I wanted was you and there was no one
But you, you, you
And all I wanted was you
And there was no one but you
And all I wanted was you
You got me feelin' so blue you got me singin' the blues
When all I wanted was you...

I feel so distraught at the thought of this all
Cuz we had something so innocent
And baby this is no coincidence
Are you feelin' what i'm sayin' cuz
I'm sayin' what i'm feelin'
As long as you don't fear it
I can stand near it
Just tell me you don't fear it
And everytime I ask you tell me to relax
Quit trippin' about the past or this ain't gonna last
I guess this was too good to be true
Too good to be true

Chorus

We've been desensitized I wanted to emphasize
This is not a lost cause
Don't you give up
Don't you give up
Its gonna get better
Right now your just a little bit under the weather
Just a little bit under the weather
Don't you give up, don't
Look up
We can't stay down all the time
NO, NO
We're here to remind you with this song
Look up, look up, look up

Interlude:
Mr. Bob Marley could sing us all songs
And reach out his arms
And John Lennon could sing about peace
And make us all feel at ease
And Tupac could tell us all about those better days
So we can keep smilin' all throughout the day
And don't forget about all those special people in our lives today
That make this here, all worth the while

Right now your just a little bit under the weather
Just a little bit under the weather
Don't you give up, don't you give up
Look up

There will be better days, better days
Better days...
