The Ramblin Gypsies

Based out of Lenoir, N.C. the band plays as a full on electric band as well as a rustic rootsy acoustic band! The Band genuinely enjoys its work and has been cranking out there own roots rock anthems fashioned in their own style. Their approachability and downhome humor forms easy connections with audience members bringing them into the life and soul of the band. The Ramblin Gypsies consider each show to be its own experience and plays each song with an energy and purpose that seems lost in so many of todays bands.

North Carolina songwriter and vocalist Chad Triplett learned to sing as a kid listening to his fathers records. Thus began a 30 year journey following suppressed dreams. Frontman for the Ramblin Gypsies Chad takes audiences on a musical adventure through roots rock and southern rock. Influenced heavily by “The Marshall Tucker Band, The Allman Bro., Bob Dylan, Waylon Jennings, Reckless Kelly, Steve Earle and Cross Canadian Ragweed. While Paying Tribute to the greats Chad strives to bring music into new frontiers.

Doug Davis is the lead guitarist, for the band. He is the musicians musician of the band. His versatile skills include fiddle, harmonica, slide guitar, and the mandolin.
He brings to the stage a wealth of warm and soulful original material and offers a tasteful interpretation of classic rock music. An art teacher by trade Doug is also a scholar of Americana music and carries a wealth of knowledge that includes greats like Johnny Cash, Doc Watson, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty and Jimmi Hendrix.

Dustin Darnelle Bassit for the band and occasional lead guitarist. His musical roots extend into a wide variety of styles including country and southern rock. He has a uniqe understanding that makes the bands rythem flow. He plays a mean bass with an appreciation for roots rock music. Dustin also has just scratched the service in the songwriting realm with some catchy originals that keep you grooving. He also enjoys long walks on the beach and making women dance.

Drummer Matt Lutton brings to the stage an untiring percussion experience. Matts legendary sticks have made him widely appreciated in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Matt has studied countless styles of music and enjoys listening to music and bands from all walks of life. Matt is highly considered missing piece of the band! You can feel his heart and soul in each beat he plays.
