The Ramen are a rock‘n roll outfit based in the Netherlands. Started 1 year ago, they’re inspired by the ‘New York sound’ of different bands (Velvet Underground, Television, Suicide…), and like to mix guitars, drums, loops, vintage keyboards and vocals on the verge of distorsion. Nope, we didn't say garage. Awwwwww ok! But then with a skull-tagged disco-ball whirling upon us.
This wall-of-sound approach translates particularly well on stage where they propagate their rock‘n roll gospel with drive and attitude.
The basic line-up includes members who prefer to remain anonymous (hence the use of pseudonymes and the always blurred band pictures). Not because they’re relentless snobs (though…) but because they just want to play for the sake of the music. They’re sometimes reinforced on stage by additional musicians (strings, keys,…). If you want to get to know them better, catch them live! Or mail them, they’re nice guys and gals and will answer gently…
Their debut LP Yueng Chow Style is in preparation, and will hit the record shops this winter.
