Bio

The Randy Cliffs is the band that you left on the back porch next to the ten-dollar case of beer last weekend. This Madison foursome plays insurgent-country pabst punk rock in the tradition of such artists as Uncle Tupelo, Whiskeytown, Social Distortion, and The Replacements. They have shared the stage with The Bottle Rockets and The Legendary Shack Shakers. As the Anchor Inn's Mr. Blues put it, "It is impossible to stay sober while listening to this band".

Colin Mehlum's lyrics take a hold of the rural Midwest that he knows so well and beats and bends it into foot-stompers and heart-achers alike. The band brings Colin's lyrics to life with it's own unique brand of bar-time rock honesty.

The Cliffs have played reglarly at the Anchor Inn the High Noon Saloon in Madison. Regional venues include Wise Fools Pub in Chicago, Frederick's Music Lounge in St. Louis and Tom's Garage in Appleton, WI.
The blistering amount of energy displayed during their live shows has led them to a large following, with most people waiting to "see what happens next."
