Bio
The Real Makers are a three-piece rock band with a funk & blues back bone and a penchant for good ol' fashioned story telling. With an arsenal of well over 20 originals and a handful of choice covers, The Makers are versatile enough to play a tight, energetic hour set or two full sets with a few improvisational jams thrown in. From tales of a jaded farmer to dark carnivals & evil puppets to Allen Iverson's struggles and the shadiest Vineyard residents you'd never wanna meet, The Real Makers have a little something for everyone.
The Real Makers influences are plenty, but here's more than a few: Herbie Hancock, The Black Keys, Led Zeppelin, The Funky Meters, Muddy Waters, The White Stripes, Curtis Mayfield, David Bowie, Sublime, Jimi Hendrix, Sly & The Family Stone, Creedence and basically anything that's got soul.
The Real Makers are currently working on a full length album to be released in 2010.
