Currently we are working on our first full length album. Tracks aren't the issue thus far, we have more than enough for a full original CD, with help from no one other than our life experiences influences. That is what makes us so incredibly proud. Our goal is to have the album done by summer or fall of 2012.

We can reflect on what our purpose truly represents, we can try and tell you what we sound like, but ultimately it won't make a difference. We're going to tell you who we are, what we "strive" for and why we do what we do. With that, the decision is up to you to decide what you think "fits" and "looks good."
Striving For Cairo has a rock diaphragmatic soul, with influential metal progressions and break downs. That being said, we can blend very well with metal heavy teens, or the old rockers that want to hear that lead singer wail.
Influentially we're deeply moved by Tool, Muse, Killswitch Engaged, Chevelle & Avenged Sevenfold. These great bands have made major musical movements and imprints on thousands of people including ourselves. We gravitate to them like any crazed fan would with their musical influences.
Striving For Cairo started writing songs in the basement of our guitar player's house in Lee's Summit, MO since April 2009. Since then our focus is sending positive messages. Our passion is simple; play, sing, & write music. Doesn't have to be perfect. Doesn't have to make sense to anyone other than yourself. Just give everything you have, challenge yourself, and most importantly have fun. With that mindset, our hard work shines through each and every song. That's what keeps our creative wheels turning.
We have an incredible ear for tone, harmonies, and have amazing rhythmic capability that plays a large and very important part in our writing. That's how we continue to do what we do best.
