Bio
The Record Company is a blues/rock band based in Los Angeles. Steeped in the classic sounds of Muddy Waters and John Lee Hooker along with the jump of Howlin' Wolf, The Record Company have burst onto the scene in a very short time, performing their first show just weeks ago on January 5, 2012. While never trying to simply emulate the great masters, the band have found their own fresh take on the music and can best be described as a group giving a 21st century nod to a timeless art form.
The group has already generated considerable buzz due to several high-profile blog reviews, multiple spins by public radio tastemaker Nic Harcourt on his Los Angeles-based "Connections" show, and as the song of the day at Philadelphia's very influential WXPN.
