Coming from the Cleveland, Ohio area, Joe and Matt met through a mutual friend of theirs and ended up playing together in a four piece band, Joe on percussion and Matt on bass and vocals. When that group began to really go nowhere and eventually broke up it left Joe and Matt wondering where to go from there. They had always shared a similar taste for experimentation in music and a sense of great enjoyment in a good song that evokes emotion. So they decided to start this band and combine their ideas of the music they wanted to make and hear.
Our music has been described as "post-jam." We're not exactly sure what that means but we agree with it in that we combine the free and spontaneous elements of jambands with the ethereal and dynamic elements of post-rock.
