"Rock 'n Write Press Release"

The Redfelts join Teddy Geiger, Omarion, Nick Lachey and Cheyenne on the Rock'n Write Program!!! Learning is about to become fun in schools across the country and eventually the world! That's right, can you imagine students looking forward to going to school to learn. Lyman Carter, founder of Rock'n Write, an Orlando based company has been test marketing this program for the past three years with much success. The program is now in about 20% of the nation's middle schools. The concept is simple... use powerful songs from America's top recording artists to get student's attention, then provide the Rock'n Write learning kits on each song to the teachers. The Learning Kits breakdown the songs and provide worksheets to stimulate conversation about various relevant topics. The students are then asked to write the lyrics to a song about a topic that is important to them. Everything counts...spelling, punctuation, sentence structure, etc. Schools then have the option to compete in national competitions for prizes and live concerts at their school by top artists. Rock'n Write sponsors provide the prizes...HP, Samsung, American Express and Hawaiian Tropic! Robby Red of The Redfelts wrote a song by the name of 'My Blue Nights', which will be featured in the 'new' Rock'n Write site coming Feb 2, 2007. Robby has a song currently on the Rock'n Write site(www.rocknwrite.com) called 'Fancy Eyes', which can be found in the MP3 section of the Rock'n Write website. This program will reach millions of people around the world in the months to come!!!

Bio

The Redfelts came together in the summer of 2006, and name of the band is as original as the band itself. Robby Red is the 21 year old lead singer/songwriter for the band and you will feel his passion in the music. Now add four talented musicians who have performed with some of the top national acts in the world and you create a chemical reaction which is an audio, visual and sensory experience!!! The music is straight-up melody driven rock with catchy hooks that you will be singing long after the song is over! You need to see the band perform live to understand what others who have seen them have 'felt' about the experience.

ROBBY: I was born on April 13, 1985 and spent my early years in the Philadelphia area. I always loved music, performing and creating things. Country music was the first kind of music I enjoyed and I dreamed of being a part of a country rock band like 'The Moffatts', a teen country rock band of four brothers. I spent my early years developing my acting, vocal, instrumental and performing skills by getting involved in various musical theater productions. At the age of thirteen, my musical interests changed to alternative rock. I formed a band by the name of 'No Need' and the musical journey began. The band took on a life of its own and we had the opportunity to open arena shows for some of the biggest names in music... Avril Lavigne, Pink, BB Mak, Lifehouse, Simple Plan, Eve 6, etc. The success of the band also allowed me the opportunity to work with one of New York's finest producers and engineers, Werner F. He was very influential in my understanding of the technical side of music, as well as offering some great performance advice. A highlight of my early years involved a nationwide promotion with General Mills, Nickelodeon and Jive Records, in which two of my songs were included in a compilation CD of major artists. The compilation CD was inserted inside over 5 Million General Mills cereal boxes. The day after I graduated high school, I moved to Orlando, Florida to take on the Bass Guitar/Back-up Vocalist position for a band that travelled the United States on the Billboard Live 'Rock Me Moto' Tour. After the tour, I was offered a job in Vegas to write songs, perform and help launch a new female artist. I am now back in Orlando where I have been writing, recording and working with my band, 'The Redfelts'. The chemistry in this band is amazing and I am looking forward to touring with these talented musicians. I have been working with one of my favorite producers, Jim Ebert (Butch Walker) and I am looking forward to finishing the album with Jim. I am fortunate that I have the gift to write music and the ability to perform it in front of a large audience. Therefore, I feel a responsibility to not only entertain people, but to also write a few songs that can have a positive impact on young people, which is why I am currently involved with other major artists on a program called 'Rock'n Write', which helps kids around the world to learn through the power of contemporary popular music. My goal is to make music I believe in and that passes the test of time!!!

SEAN: I was born in Miami, Florida into a family of musicians. After learning guitar from my father, I began jamming and performing with my uncle who worked with many artists from Bo Diddley to Sam Rivers. One of my projects was being a founder of the rock group "Someotherlife" who worked and shared stages with acts such as SR71, Creed, and Marvelous 3. Henry, Robby, and I played together in a national act based out of Orlando with Robby on bass guitar. We always thought about the possibility of The Redfelts.......now it is real. This has been long awaited and a musical release for us all. I enjoy the art of music, skateboarding, and things in between.

HENRY: I was born in Framingham, Massachusetts, and seemed destined for music from birth. At an early age, I picked up rhythms from my father's Beatles records and played his first song by the age of 5! By my 8th birthday, I was taking drum lessons from some of the most premier instructors in the Boston area, eventually graduating from the University of Massachusetts with a degree in music performance. Setting my sights high, I moved to Orlando in 1998 to pursue a career playing drums. I made some contacts and played with some of the most popular acts in the area which included Gotti 13 and the multi-platinum selling group LFO. Through some mutual friends, I met Sean and Robby in 2004 and played in a short-lived project with them. In the summer of 2006 Robby called and asked me to be a part of his new project. From there history will be made. Come check out The Redfelts!!!

ROB: Originally from Long Island, New York, I began my career at 18 playing bass with the metal band BATTLE BRATT. The band released a CD and headed to Europe for a promotional tour. Today, the CD has resurfaced and is considered a collector's item among metal enthusiasts. The progressive r
