Formed in London in 2010, The Red Skies play beautifully stark, achingly heartfelt acoustic alt-folk/country music. The band is one Murray Wyse, an Australian singer-songwriter who now lives in London. Originally from Melbourne, he grew up in rural Australia listening to Australian folk and American country music, the likes of which included Guy Clark, Tim Hardin, Townes Van Zandt, Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison and Australian heroes like Tex Morton, The Triffids, Dirty Three, Paul Kelly and Nick Cave.
